Terms and conditions for massage
Definitions
We, us or our means PJ Therapies Ltd trading as Tiger Lily Thai Spa. The company is registered in Scotland with company number 544440. You or your means the person receiving the massage or treatment.
Booking and payment
All bookings are made directly with PJ Therapies Ltd at our central Glasgow premises. We do not currently provide an on-line booking service. Bookings can be made in person, by text or over the phone. Customers can choose the type of treatment, therapist, date and time, as available. You must provide your contact details (first name and mobile or other phone number) when making a booking. New customers making a booking for more than 1 person are required to make a non-refundable deposit of £10 per person to secure their booking. We may ask returning customers to pay a deposit when booking on busy days. We accept major credit and debit cards (a £1 surcharge will be added), cash and bank transfer payment. We may ask to witness an in-person bank transfer payment on your mobile or other device at the time of payment.
First and subsequent visits
Customers must give us their contact details and fill out a pre-treatment consultation form on their first visit. Customers are responsible for advising of any change in their health circumstances and contact details on subsequent visits. They do not have to fill out another pre-treatment consultation form.
Late arrivals and no shows
We advise you to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your treatment. Arrivals after half the treatment duration will be treated as a no-show and any deposit or other pre-payment will be retained by us. If you arrive late to your appointment for any reason, your treatment time will generally be reduced to avoid delay to the next client. Late arrivals will be charged the full cost of the booked treatment.
Tips
All tips go to your therapist and can be made by cash or card. We do not retain any tips.
Therapist preference
Clients can request a particular therapist when booking. We will assign therapists based on availability if no selection is made.
Pregnancy
We give treatments to women who are least 15 weeks pregnant. We will refuse to give any treatment to a woman who is less than 15 weeks pregnant. We will not be held liable for any consequences if a customer does not advise us of pregnancy prior to any treatment. We do not massage customers who have had a Caesarean until at least 6 months after the birth.
Age policy
We do not massage customers who are under the age of 18 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. We reserve the right to stop or cancel any treatment if we think that it is inappropriate for any reason for us to provide or continue treatment, including the behaviour of a minor.
Customer behaviour during treatment
Please do not use mobile phones during treatments. We reserve the right to refuse treatment to any client who is physically or verbally abusive or shows any inappropriate, aggressive or sexual behaviour towards our staff. We do not provide any treatment to a customer who is intoxicated or believed to be under the influence of non-medicated drugs.
Insurance
We are insured for the services and treatments we provide to our customers. We and our therapists are not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items during a customer’s appointment. Personal items should normally be taken into the treatment room and, if possible, placed in the large box provided.
